Puff Pastry Christmas Tree Pizza
Makes 2 Christmas Tree Pizzas
- 1 sheet ready rolled puff pastry
- 150g tomato pizza topping
- 150g grated mozzarella
- Olive oil, to drizzle
Colourful toppings of your choice, we used:
- 3 Mixed peppers (red, green, and orange)
- ½ red onion, finely sliced
- 2-3 tbsp tinned or frozen sweetcorn
Start off by preparing your toppings. Using a small star pastry cutter, cut out as many star shapes as you can from the peppers and thinly slice the red onion.
Preheat the oven to gas 6, 200°C, fan 180°C.
Unroll the puff pastry directly onto a baking sheet. Using the tip of a sharp knife, cut out a Christmas tree shape. Keep the trimmings and use these to make your second tree.
Using a fork, prick over the surface of the pastry to prevent it from puffing up too much when cooking. Spread a layer of sauce over the top then sprinkle with cheese. Decorate with the vegetables and drizzle over a little oil.
Repeat with the remaining pastry using a separate baking sheet.
Put both trays into the oven and cook for 20-25 minutes until golden and the base is crisp. Cool for a few minutes before serving.
